Dangerous Femme

Last week we highlighted a few good blogs by submissives, so this week, we’ll do the logical follow-up and mention some blogs by doms and dominas.

Our favorite is the blog of professional Seattle dominatrix Mistress Matisse. We love the journal for her humor, her frankness, and her considerable charm. (It doesn’t hurt that she’s staggeringly gorgeous.) Some of our favorite posts are her transcriptions of phone calls from clueless (and often offensive) would-be clients

This leads us naturally to mentioning one of Matisse’s partners, Monk, of TwistedMonk.com, maker of incredibly fine bondage rope. (Seriously, if you’re going to be tied up, forgo the cheap clothesline and scarves and invest in quality. It’s organic, fair trade, allergen-free rope! It comes in colors. As of recently, it comes in hot pink!) Monk has a blog too, of course, which sometimes includes descriptions of his rope bondage sessions, plus lots of other bondage-related coolness.

The incomparable Midori has a personal journal, too. She’s a Japanese-born feminist sex expert and performance artist, and she’s written great book son subjects like Japanese rope bondage, foot and shoe fetishes, and other subjects. She updates frequently, and has reader surveys (”What should a considerate gentleman-lover-about-town have for supplies around the bed room and bathroom?”), occasional photos, info about her work, and news of her travels and adventures.

Dangerous Femme — AKA professional Portland-area domina Betka Schpitz — is “a polka dot lovin perv living a naughty rubber dream in the Pacific Northwest,” and her blog “is an authentic glimpse into the daily life of a professional dominatrix.” It’s her personal journal, but she writes a lot about the practice and philosophy of dominance, as well as her personal experiences, and she does love her rubber.

Finally, because we’ve noticed a certain skew in the samples above, here’s Bitchy Jones’s Diary, the blog of a British woman who is not a professional, but who dominates plenty in her personal life. Her voice is what makes this blog work — she’s funny, self-deprecating, and enthusiastic. Her recent entry “What it Feels Like to Hurt a Man Until it Makes You Have an Orgasm”, is pretty much a tour-de-force on the subject.

As usual, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the pervy blogosphere, and there’s plenty more to fine — poke around the blogrolls and link lists of the sites mentioned above, and you’ll find plenty of Sirs and Daddies and Mistresses and Ma’ams willing to let you kiss their virtual feet.

  1. […] A while ago I wrote this pornographic roller coaster ride. It proved kind of popular and got linked to here and here and that probably led to this. (That’s not a picture of me they’ve used to illustrate that by the way – that’s somebody else. About as somebody else as it is possible to get.) But Mr Blue Sky (remember him? – well that’s still going nowhere in the nicest possible way) had mentioned Blowfish to me so that made me happy because I could show it off to him. And then he could write me a very nice email response about offering me a gift of his pain. Well, he does that most days but it was still nice. […]
