Caught in the Net: The Sporting Life
What do porn and athletics have in common? Beautiful bodies in action, mostly. So the combination of porn and sport is a venerable and worthy one, from naked volleyball to naked bowling to naked wrestling to, well, you get the idea. Here are a few choice moments from the porn/sport highlight reel:
British site Beer And Totty — billed as the ultimate club, pub, and bar guide — is kind enough to host a set of scans from the June 2002 issue of the Brazilian version of Playboy, featuring the soccer-playing women of Brazil in all their considerable glory. Maybe we don’t understand the fascination with soccer that most of the non-United-States world has, but we’d buy season tickets to see these ladies on the field. It’s Playboy, so it’s softcore, but we’re not so jaded that we don’t appreciated beautiful women doing exercises in thongs in the rain, or lathering one another up in the locker room. We’re fans. Outdoor sports not your thing? The Sexy Flexy Blog features photos of ballet dancers, gymnasts, and acrobats . . . or, at least, models who have very flexible attributes. Where else can you see gymnasts in schoolgirl uniforms doing handstands and showing off their panties? Well, probably lots of places, actually, but why not start here?
In a similar vein, The Naked Sports Blog occasionally finds gems, but appears to feature a lot of refugees from the era of aerobic exercise video tapes . . . which is great if you think legwarmers and wide headbands are super sexy.
Of course, being good at sports brings its own rewards, beyond the thrill of victory. British tabloid Nuts did a special issue devoted to “100 Hot Footballer’s Wives,” featuring photos — including a few delectable nudes — of the gorgeous wives of top soccer players. The K05 blog put up some of the shots for your viewing pleasure. It’s the sort of thing that will make you wish you’d worked out a little harder in gym class as a kid. (It’s also the sort of thing that tempts us to make dirty puns on the word “footballers.”)

I agree these are great, but almost all of the shots are women who are or could be mainstream fashion models. What about real girls who play soccer, hockey (ice or field), softball, or tennis? The Brazilian football team is a start, but it seems like everyone from that country could be a mainstream model! I’d rather see sexy pics of Jennifer Capriati, Brandi Chastain, or Martina Hingis, but never seem to find any real athletes except for the occasional fashion mags that only care during the Olympics. I’d rather see the real athletes, not men’s wives.
