“I woke up with major butterflies. I realized all the storyboarding I’d done previously didnt mean a thing anymore once I saw the choreography in action. Also Mr Pam, lead camera, left for NY the night before and I would be working with some one new. He’s an awesome filmmaker as well but I dont do well with change. So we did a lot of off the cuff camera placement and movement and after awhile we fell into a grove and things were moving right a long. I cant show too much of the cool things we did or else I’ll give away the end of the movie.
“Overall I was thoroughly impressed with everyone’s hard work and professionalism. I feel this movie could be a shifting point for Pink and White and I feel like I’ve finally produced something beautiful.”

“These are crowd shots and out of the ring fight sequences. I had a little sleep but still mostly running on caffeine. The crowd was great at oooing and awwwing. With all their ruckus the fight choreography started to come alive. Last minute was got some one to play the Referee. That was a stroke of serendipitous luck. Thanks Ref.”

“So I had about 4 hours sleep because I was up all night building the ring. I had scheduled some assistance but they thought it was the next week so I busted ass the best I could. Most of the ring was completed by the morning and available crew helped put the finishing touches on. Running on adrenaline and excitement we assembled the jib arm and got ready for a long day.
“Once again everyone’s acting was way above what I expected.”

“The shoot got very exhausting once we got to our last location so I’m writing this in retrospect. The lo action was perfect for the movie but an absolute sweat box during this past heat wave. The only relief was the fact the space was huge so there was a little air flow.
“I’ve seen Shawn and Jiz have sex many times and I think this is the one that really captures the beauty of their connection. Also I was really excited to reproduce one of my favorite shots from Raging Bull, where Jake waves to Violet from bed. Here we have Shawn waving Jiz into the bedroom.”

“Day 6. Hump day. Over half way done and now more of the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. I couldn’t resist editing together the shots from day 5 that connect with some of the shots from day 6. Looks like things are fitting together well. Sshwooo!
“Shooting in the gym had some unforeseen challenges. The Mexican restaurant next door intermittently played loud music in their kitchen. We had our audio person set up in a little tent made out a furniture blanket and C-stand at one point. But once again totally worth: it the location had the perfect look for Champion. Thanks again, Mike.”

“Day 5 and we’re half-way done with production. Never let it be said that porn actors can’t act. We’ve had some stellar performances by Syd and Dylan. We’re all having fun with the gender blender humor of the story. There are some great bloopers to go in the outtakes reel.”

“Days are just running along. We did the van scene. A big van, a small garage, lots of lights and 9 sweaty bodies. What fun. Javier and Dylan’s scene was hot and intense. Also a bit cramped when we piled cam 2 on to the bed with them. Does that make it a three way?”
