Ron Jeremy: The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz
Who doesn’t love the Hedgehog? Porn Star Ron Jeremy has had one of the longest . . . careers in the porn industry, and it’s not just his endowments and reputation as a woodsman that’s gotten him this far. His charming, benignly mischievous personality is part of what makes Ron Jeremy: The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz such a fascinating read. From his early, early beginnings (where nurses in the maternity ward comment on his (to-become-famous) endowment), Jeremy doesn’t shy away from telling the fascinating details of his quite eventful life. With the help of author Eric Spitznagel, the story of Jeremy’s life is told anecdotally, with gossip, name-dropping, scandal and fun little stories all told with equal candor. I love the way the book is peppered with pictures of Ron with all sorts of famous folks (many of them showing their penis size with their hands, though I’m pretty sure only Louis Gosset, Jr. is telling the truth here), though it’s the pictures of Ron throughout his life that are the most compelling. If you’ve got a thing for Ron Jeremy, the porn industry, or just really good autobiographies, you’re not going to want to miss this one!
