Pornscapes

Pornscapes is almost a book of optical illusions. Each page features a set of six photographs, mostly taken during sex by the same couple, but they’re arranged so artfully that the eye often plays tricks on you. For example: a breast and nipple in one frame become the eye of the profile in the next. A penis seems to extend outward from a woman’s mouth, the head pointing down in the next frame. A thigh extends upwards out of the frame and into the next, becoming the bottom of a torso getting fucked up the ass. Really quite extraordinary and clever; I’ve never seen erotic photography quite like it. The effect is at once surreal and engrossing as you lean in and try to figure out what’s going on. Some sets are arranged only by theme (such as assholes and things in nature that look like assholes) and not every photo is erotic (though most are). There are depictions of both golden showers and what appears to be menstrual blood (it’s not entirely easy to tell since the entire book is black-and-white) in a few of these shots, so it may not be to everyone’s taste, but most of you are going to become captivated by the beauty of this unusual book. Overall, a fascinating glimpse into one couple’s experimentation with photography during sex.
